About Tom
Tom has many years of varied experience in business in the areas of commercial, operations, change leadership & management, event design, facilitation & training, and coaching. In September 2009, he became a certified & licensed Neuro-Liguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner & NLP Coach, approved by the American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
He is an Associate of the UK based Facilitators International LLP & Lead Consultant for the USA based Wind In Sails EXPERIENCE – HR, INC. for their European, Middle East & Asian business activities.
Tom previously worked in the oil industry in a number of senior roles, based in the UK whilst working internationally, primarily in the USA & Europe. He has many years of varied experience in business in the areas of commercial, operations, event design, facilitation & training, coaching, and is an accomplished business coach, facilitator and manager.
He has extensive experience of leading multi disciplinary business & operational terms and facilitating both local and global events and meetings, ranging from small team meetings to conferences. He has also recently been acknowledged for his contribution to a best-selling book the by the Founder & Director of the Collective Leadership Institute.
He has led development programmes for leading organisations and latterly has focussed on improving business performance through enhancing the effectiveness of meetings and teleconferences, leadership programmes both local and global, personal, career and organisational development & capability. His industry experience includes: commercial & logistical planning, HSSE management & practice, operations, business reputation, project management, industrial (labour) relations, HR, commercial forecasting, coaching and facilitation.
Tom has diverse international experience working effectively with nationals from many cultures and communities including UK, USA, Germany, Australia, Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Canada, the Middle East & Africa.

Performance coaching and global leadership/team development programmes in USA & UK.
Executive coaching to senior executives & team leaders of an international oil company.
Designing & delivering 1-1, local, regional & international teleconference management training.
Designing, directing & facilitating global meetings in the oil industry.
Clients include BP International, AsdaWal*Mart & the Diageo Group
Management experience:
Tom has extensive experience of leading teams in commercial, operational and functional areas as well as leading personal, team and organisational development programmes, both in the UK & Internationally. As a global professional excellence manager with a large multi-national, he developed & implemented performance coaching and personal development & recognition programmes to enhance both individual and team performance. In addition, Tom also designed & delivered local, regional & global meetings using fresh & distinctive methods to changing their nature & style, delivering increased meeting effectiveness.
Other Qualifications and experience:
Tom qualified in Business Studies in Glasgow & in Employment Law at Heriott Watt University, Edinburgh, with additional internal and external qualifications.
He is most recently a graduate of the global JMW Manager of the Future and the Dialogos Leadership for Collective Intelligence programmes, and in the UK, Advanced Facilitation at Ashridge Management Centre, and (How To) Coach a leader.
Tom has wide knowledge & experience of coaching & facilitation techniques, including psychometric, career coaching, NLP, Emotional Intelligence, Hero’s Journey, New Leader Transition & Dialogic Models.
